Hamilton overcomes injury, continues on at Tour de France

SEDAN, France (AP) -- Tyler Hamilton learned to beat pain from former teammate Lance Armstrong.

Hamilton broke his collarbone in a crash Sunday in the Tour de France, but stayed in the race instead of quitting. He finished 100th on Monday.


Tyler Hamilto is my hero. I broke my collarbone in a bike accident, probably not as bad as his. I was on pain killers the next day and wouldn't even have thought about getting back on the bike!
